"Cherry Blossoms" By Cranson Weber Shelley

from 25.00

Springtime in Syracuse, New York is marked by the emergence of apple and cherry blossoms.  Made in the early part of the 20th century by amateur photographer Cranson Weber Shelly using a large format glass plate camera, this image has been restored and interpreted by, me, Ron Cowie.

Cranson Weber Shelly lived and worked in Syracuse, New York. He was a tool maker. He also was my great grandfather. I inherited the collection of his glass plate negatives and began the process of editing, retouching, and printing these images for the modern world.

Images are either printed using archival ink or platinum.
