Cranson Weber Shelley

Cranson Weber Shelley was my great grandfather on my mother's side. He came from Ontario Canada and settled in Syracuse, New York where worked as a toolmaker. His photographs were purely for his own pleasure and relaxation. I discovered a collection of his glass plate negatives after my grandmother died. I was immediately struck by the simple compositions, elegant light, and subjects. His still life photos of flowers communicated to me and I think they will communicate to you as well.
